Serving Massachusetts
It has been my pleasure to provide support and guidance to those recovering from substance abuse and mental health challenges over the past 15+ years. I have a Master’s Degree in Developmental Psychology from Bay Path University as well as having a LADC-1(Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor) in the state of MA.
I specialize in trauma-response treatment through “Seeking Safety” and “Healing Trauma” curriculums; as well as using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy coping strategies. As well, as being a trained EMDR (Eye-movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist in supporting those recoverying from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). You will learn how to emotionally regulate yourself utilizing tools such as “belly breathing,” "the grocery list" and "4-squared breathing." It is easy to get overwhelmed with work, responsibilities, parenting struggles that we forget how to take care of our own mental health and self-care needs.
Through our counseling sessions you will learn how to identify the best approach to creating that healthy work/life balance that will support your daily quality of life.I have experience working within all levels of care; inpatient-detoxification, residential, intensive outpatient (Medicated Assisted Treatment) programs, outpatient counseling, group therapy as well as treating all backgrounds and ages. My goal has always been to support others in reaching the healthy quality of life that they strive for by utilizing an individualized approach in their treatment plan. I have learned through working with individuals that come from all walks of life, that there is no “one size fits all” in counseling. Therefore, you will find a person-centered approach in my sessions that will provide you with the ability to self-identify what works best for you as well as an interactive therapeutic approach for guided support. Many times listening to ourselves out loud can bring us the most profound healing.
